Description
This program hosts projects to train young disadvantaged women in the fashion and garment trades. The foundation finances the necessary teaching materials and equipment. It also finances the on-site teaching services provided by Swiss professionals in these trades, leaving all other project-related tasks to local staff.

Objectives
Its aim is to train craftswomen and men in the garment trades, and ultimately to create and sustain income-generating activities, whether in the form of employment or self-employment. GANYDAR will ensure that women in precarious situations can benefit from the training provided, and make a decent living from their trade as seamstresses.

Activities
Sustainable training through courses or occasional support, in collaboration with existing local structures. The Foundation organizes and runs comprehensive on-site training programs in sewing and tailoring.
In the medium term, Ganydar plans to support the production of raw materials, in particular ramie, especially in the Ingenios valley near Trinidad.
Ganydar supplies the equipment needed for training courses (machines and, in some cases, thread, fabrics and other materials needed for patterns, etc.) and also provides know-how where needed in the form of courses and teacher training, if possible on site.
Budget
The budget is linked to each project.
